We do our best to answer all questions our supporters may have.
Early registration opens June 18th and runs through September 1st. Late registration is available from September 2nd through October 15th with an additional $50 fee added.
The U stands for Under. Meaning that if a player is in the U9 age group, for example, everyone in that age group will be turning 8 sometime between August 1 thru December 31 of that year.
The program is age pure by birth year through U10 after which time we combine ages together to fill larger rosters. Example: U11 & U12 play together at U12.
No, there are no tryouts in the Recreational program. It is open registration and we try to find teams for every player.
Yes, the volunteer parent head coach will be at all practices and all games to coach the team.
There is NO professional coaches in Recreational Soccer
No team plays in a tournament outside of GBYSA in the Recreational program.
The teams should play between 8-10 league games during the season. then there is 2 weeks of single elimination playoffs.
Practices will start the first Week of November and end the first week of February, there are no practices during playoffs.

Teams are formed based on birth date and the evaluation rating of the player
Late registration finishes by October 1, but teams have already started to be formed by then. Teams will be completed and sent to parents no later than October 15th. Most teams will be formed by mid-October.
The target date is October 15th or before.
